About Us

Why We Exist

At Golden Hour Companions, we believe in the power of presence. In a world moving fast, we slow down, offering aging adults the one thing they deserve most: meaningful connection.

Our mission is simple but deep:

To provide joyful, intentional care that honors every story, supports independence, and reminds seniors they are never alone.

Why This Matters

In 2023, the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness a public health crisis.

  • 1 in 3 seniors reports feeling regularly lonely

  • Loneliness increases dementia risk by up to 50%

  • Chronic isolation is as harmful as smoking 15 cigarettes a day

But there’s hope.
Social connection is now recognized as essential to health and healing.

That’s where we come in.

Golden Hour Companions isn’t just a service. It’s a movement to bring intentional connection back into aging.

We don’t clock in.
We show up.
With presence, memory-making, and kindness that lingers.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Victoria Farias. Golden Hour Companions was born from personal experience, deep compassion, and a desire to make aging feel golden - not forgotten.

After years of working closely with seniors, I saw how deeply they craved not just care, but connection. They wanted conversation, companionship, and dignity. I knew we could do more. So I built a service that offers just that.

Whether it’s a shared laugh over tea or capturing a life story in a keepsake journal, Golden Hour is about presence. Not just service but staying, listening, and honoring the moment.
